KHAITA JOYFUL DANCES

KHTA P Fassoli 20180319 02

"Khaita" means “Harmony in Space”."Kha” means “space/sky”. “Ta” means “harmony/melody”. It is a simple and joyful way to experience inner harmony.

While Khaita starts from the Tibetan culture, our aim - promoting harmony within the individual and between people and their environment through dance - goes beyond protecting and supporting a single culture.

As individuals, while dancing, we learn to be present to the inner display of thoughts and emotions. As we cultivate this relaxed presence in movement, harmony and joy develop naturally, and we carry it to our daily life, moving more easily through our routines, activities.

Khaita Joyful Dance first began in 2011 when Professor Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, a renowned Dzogchen Master and Tibetan scholar compiled a collection of 108 songs and dances. This collection has now grown to include more than 250 songs and dances.

In Dzamling Gar, we are singing and dancing everyday from 5 pm to 7:15 pm. This is an open program for everybody, from children to adults, regardless of age. No previous experience is necessary and everyone is always welcome to join with no need to register before participating on any of the days.

On youtube there is a channel entirely dedicated to Khaita: https://www.youtube.com/user/HarmonyInTheSpace
