Eight Movements of Yantra Yoga in-depth course

NATURE OF THE TRAINING

AndricoFabioThe 8 Movements are part of Yantra Yoga, one of the oldest known yoga systems in the world that comes directly from Tibet, the cradle of Tibetan Buddhism.

The positions and movements of Yantra Yoga, combined with conscious breathing, help coordinate and harmonize one´s personal energy, allowing the mind to relax and find its true balance. Many positions used in Yantra Yoga are similar to those of Hatha Yoga, but the way of entering and applying them differs significantly. Yantra Yoga uses sequences with seven phases of movement that are connected with seven phases of breathing. In particular, the position in the central phase of each movement helps create a specific breath retention that works at a deep and subtle level. For this reason, not only the position is important, but also the phases of breathing and specific holds.

The Yantra Yoga system has a wide range of movements that can be applied by anyone. It is an exceptional method for achieving relaxation, balance and optimal health through the coordination of breath and movement. This system is connected with the essence of the Dzogchen teachings and the methods to find one's own real nature.

DESCRIPTION

Through this course the student will learn to purify, coordinate and reinforce the aspects of one´s energy through Yantra Yoga.

The eight fundamental aspects of breath in Yantra Yoga (slow inhalation, open holding, direct hold, fast exhalation, fast inhalation, closed hold, contracted hold, and slow exhalation) are a unique set of exercises that apply movement and breath in a precise, coordinated, and conscious way.

In this course we will discover the essence of this powerful and transformative practice, and receive instructions on practice and teaching as you learn to:

  • Harmonize and reshape the entire functioning of your breathing system, including four different ways of inhaling, exhaling, and holding the breath
